I love Fred Cusick. He is my all time favorite Bruins Play by Play Announcer. I think he's the one by which all others are measured, so I was really looking forward to reading his book. Unfortunately, it was not as good as I thought it was going to be. He has many good stories, but never really delves into them much. His books reads like a bunch of disjointed accounts, with no fluid flow to them at all. One story did not seamlessly flow into another, even where they really should have. I was hoping for some more insightful stories of Esposito, Orr, Bucyk, Sanderson, and so forth. Instead the stories, while somewhat interesting, are mostly very superficial. The read was OK, but it did not engross me. It definitely was not a "I couldn't put this book down" kind of book. I can't say that I didn't enjoy the book, I just didn't love it, and I honestly was expecting to love it as much as I did the man himself. It was quite disappointing that I didn't.
Although a short book pages wise, this was a great book and it was precisely in the condition you said it would be in including the three paperclips that were included within it. LOL. I thank you for send it so promptly.
enjoyed the life of this person -acquainted with many of the players that participated in Oshawa/Niagara Falls in their junior days
Great book. Fred Cusick was part of the greatest generation and a huge part in Boston Sports History. Great Read
I grow up watching Fred Cusick and thought the book would bring back some childhood memories. The book was more like a long conversation one would have with a friend and not well written.
